We not only want you to complete your part and process design quickly and with optimum results, we also want to make the process as convenient as possible. SIGMASOFT® 6.1.1 continues on this path with further improvements and functionalities.

A new material model for the description of wall slip effects based on critical shear stress and critical pressure has been added.

For all our elastomer experts, we have added a new tool, the SIGMA Rubber Designer, with which you can optimally approximate your data sets for the simulation.

Database

New in SIGMASOFT® 6.1.1 is the tool SIGMA Rubber Designer: With the SIGMA Rubber Designer, a new generic elastomer database has been added to the database. This generic database makes it possible to approximate your own elastomer compound and use it for the simulation in order to obtain realistic results quickly and efficiently without having to measure each formulation beforehand.

In addition, there are some new high-quality data sets of different elastomers based on an accurate laboratory measurement. A plot for curing at constant heating rates has been added.

SIGMAecon

Within this perspective, you can link all types of calculations, such as cost calculations or CO₂-emissions, to your project. SIGMAecon has been significantly enhanced and made more user-friendly, there is now the possibility to perform a project or version comparison. Different designs of a DoE can also be compared with each other, SIGMAecon clearly highlights which parameters differ and, for example, which of the selected designs has the most favorable part price - this can of course also be related to other variables.

It is also possible to create an objective for the DoE directly from a function in SIGMAecon if, for example, the lowest production costs are to be included in the optimization. The objective is transferred directly to the optimization perspective. It is also possible to create design variables.
